Caregiver’s Support
October 28 @ 8:30 am
Meets in L/CR
At one time or another, we will be on the receiving side of the Caregiving Ministry at Northminster. Whether we receive a call, a prayer card, a casserole, or a plate of cookies, we know how important these gestures are when we have something to mourn, or celebrate, or from which to heal.
We who serve on this committee know what a blessing it is to make these gestures. This is a committee of women and men who are able to demonstrate our love and compassion in many varied ways, depending on what we love to do or know how to do. Some of us love to cook; some of us hate to cook so much that, from time to time, we must dust our stove, rather than scrub the debris from it. Some of us are comfortable calling or visiting; some would rather write cards. We do what we can when we can, knowing that any gesture of love, no matter how small, is important when we are on the receiving side.
We meet each Monday morning at 8:30 to discuss caregiving concerns, pray, and sign prayer cards. No one expects that all of us will attend every meeting, but we do attend as often as we are able. If you can meet with us, please do; just show up. And, if the Caregivers Ministry seems right for you, we would love to add your name to our committee! If you have questions, please call one of the committee co-chairs.
