Event Series Event Series: Atriums and Four5Six

Atriums and Four5Six

October 20 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Children age 3 through Kindergarten are invited to participate in the preschool Atrium, and the 1st through 3rd graders are invited to participate in the elementary Atrium.  The atrium is a time when children are invited to wonder at the mysteries of our faith and search for our purpose in God’s plan using the Montessori method of teaching. Through experiencing prayer, understanding the liturgy of the church, learning about the bible exploring biblical geography, and reading scripture. Atrium leaders follow the curriculum of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd as adapted in The Way of the Child, a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship supported curriculum produced by Companions in Christ, to create an environment that allows children to explore their faith history and to develop a relationship with God that will last a lifetime.

Girls and Guys in 4-6th grades are invited to participate in SN456. We talk about things that are important to us, study scripture, play games, and find ways to help others.

Guys in 4-6th grades are invited to participate in Guys 456.  Guys 456 is where boys explore their faith and some of the gender specific issues that face this age group. Guys 456 is offered to specifically meet the needs of pre-teen boys and to have small-group time with same gender peers.
