Reaching Out: Bi-Polar Disorders (Mood Disorders)
This two-night mental health series is designed to give those who attend a better understanding
of how they, as nonprofessionals, can help those who struggle with the range of common mental
health challenges classified as mood disorders. Our goal is become more sensitive to the struggles
these individuals face and to focus on the ways we can be more helpful in our interactions and
personal contacts.

September 29 – October 20, 2019
Bible 101
Three to four weeks of the next four semesters of Adult Studies will be given to answering the “who, what, when, where, and why” around Biblical authorship. Eddie Mahaffey will lead us this fall in discussing the answers to these questions with regards to the Torah, History, Wisdom and Poetry Literature of the Hebrew Bible.

Dementia and the Faith Community
Led by Dr. Kim Tarver from the MIND Center
Dr. Tarver will address how the community can help caregivers and people with dementia, how to ask the faith community for support, how to recognize early signs in elders, and what to do when you see those signs.
