Music and the Mind: a survey of recent neuroscience research with music

We have all known that music is important to us for its emotional and rational stimulationin settings in the concert hall, in schools, and, for us, in worship. One of the most vigorous areas of neuroscience research today is with music and the brain. How do we process music? What areas of the brain are involved via music stimuli? What implication accrue for brain health are we finding when we listen to or perform music? These, and more, are questions we will address in this program.
